There are 2 ways to establish a connection with your web site:
Connection Key
Connection Wizard (Requires web account password)
Connection Key
Site administrators generate connection keys that connect you to your web server and assign editing privileges
Connection Keys have the extension STC (e.g. connection.stc)
Opening Key From Email
Download the key attachment to your desktop.
Double-click on the key.
You will be prompted for the key password. Password will be the "name" in "name-key.stc" (Example: parking-key.stc password is: parking)
Sometimes the key will not open because the PC does not associate the file type with Contribute. Right click on the key and select "Open With"; select "Choose Program..."; select "Browse..." button; select "Program Files"; select "Macromedia or Adobe" folder"; select "Contribute"

Select "Create a connection"
Select "Next" button
Enter web address (url) and select "Next" button (e.g. http://www.tcnj.edu/~it/)
"How do you connection to your web server?" Select "Secure FTP (SFTP)"
"What is the name of your STFP server?" Enter "beast.tcnj.edu" (or intrasun.tcnj.edu)
"What is the SFTP username?" Enter you site username (e.g. it)
"What is the SFTP password?" Enter you site password
"What is your full name?"
"What is your e-mail address?"
"What is your role for this site?" Select "Publisher" or "Users"
